Pregnatab Conception
Women need sufficient reserves of nutrients for pregnancy. Pregnatab Conception is recommended before conception to build up the stores of nutrients in women who are trying for a baby. Good nutrition is important to help prepare a woman’s body for the additional demands placed on it during pregnancy.
Pregnatab original
Pregnatab was crafted to support mothers by providing essential nutrients that contribute to maternal well-being during pregnancy.
During pregnancy, a woman needs more folic acid than usual, because folic acid also helps the fetus grow and develop.
To make sure there is enough folic acid in the body during pregnancy, it is important that while trying to conceive, a woman should take up to 400mcg of folic acid daily (as found in Pregnatab Conception) and up to 600mcg daily during pregnancy (Pregnatab Original).
This is because Neural Tube Defect- including spina bifida and anencephaly- usually occurs during the first month of pregnancy, often before the pregnant woman realizes that she is pregnant
Iron is an important part of red blood cells, which carry oxygen through the body. Iron helps build resistance to stress and disease, as well as help avoid tiredness, weakness, irritability, and depression. ACOG recommends you receive 27 total mg of iron a day between food and your prenatal vitamin. Good sources include whole grain products, lean beef and pork, dried fruit and beans, sardines and green leafy vegetables
Inositol helps promote ovulation and pregnancy in women with PCOS. 70% of women with PCOS have infertility. Inositol help regulate hormones, enhances egg quality and increases implantation rates. Inositol and folic acid combine to promote ovulation in women with fertility issues. Inositol is also known to reduce PCOS symptoms, alleviate endometriosis pains, balance out insulin levels and combat any fertility problems caused by environmental toxins or smoking etc.
•N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) induces ovulation, decreases miscarriage rates and increases live birth rates. For women with PCOS, it lowers androgen levels, regulates menstrual cycles, increases follicle size, decreasing hirsutism, free testosterone and menstrual irregularity.
CoQ10. Female fertility decreases with age due to a decline in the number and quality of available eggs. As you age, CoQ10 production slows, making the body less effective at protecting the eggs from oxidative damage. Supplementing with CoQ10 seems to help prevent this age-related decline in egg quality and quantity. CoQ10 supplementation may enhance ovarian reserve, egg quality, and embryo development, especially in women with PCOS or age-related fertility decline.
•Biotin supplementation improves fertility and viability of eggs. It can also help keep hormones balanced, which is important for maintaining a regular menstrual cycle and a successful pregnancy
•Iron. Research suggests that iron and fertility are very much linked. Women who take iron supplements have a significantly lower risk of ovulatory infertility — the inability to produce healthy eggs. Women are also more commonly at risk of being low in iron due to menstruation and need more iron than men. Not only is iron deficiency common in women, but it’s also the most common nutritional deficiency in the world and the most common cause of anaemia during pregnancy. Iron deficiency has been linked to infertility, miscarriages, low birth weight and preterm labour.
•Folic Acid is a B-group vitamin which is essential for the healthy development of a baby’s neural tube, the structure that forms the brain and spinal cord during pregnancy. It is difficult for women to get enough folate from their diet. Therefore, women trying to have a baby can supplement their diet.
Before: Pregnatab Conception provides 400µg Folic Acid as recommended for all women from the start of trying to conceive. Once confirmed you are pregnant, you can continue to use any remaining tablets before moving on to take Pregnatab Original.

When you start taking your pregnatab depends on the stage you are at: Before: When you start thinking about planning a baby (often referred to as TTC, trying to conceive), we recommend you start taking Pregnatab Conception. It is recommended that women planning a baby should take a supplement containing 400µg of Folic Acid from the start of trying to conceive until the 12th week of pregnancy. This is the exact amount of Folic Acid found in Pregnatab Conception. During:
Once you discover you’re pregnant and haven’t taken Folic Acid beforehand, it’s advisable to begin supplementation promptly. Pregnatab provides expert nutritional care with supplements for every stage of pregnancy and contains up to 600mcg of folic acid which is the recommendation during pregnancy (Pregnatab Original).
This is because Neural Tube defects, including spina bifida and anencephaly- usually occurs during the first month of pregnancy, often before the pregnant woman realizes that she is pregnant
Pregnatab prenatal vitamins provide comprehensive nutritional support which contains 400µg Folic Acid, the level of Folic Acid recommended for all women from the start of trying to conceive until the 12th week of pregnancy.
Please note, doctors may sometimes prescribe a higher level of folic acid (5mg) for some women who are at higher risk (for example, a family history of neural tube defects, women with diabetes or taking anti-epilepsy medicine). If this is the case, Pregnatab may still be taken alongside, of course in consultation with your doctor.
However, generally speaking an additional folic acid supplement is not needed as well as Pregnatab, as it contains the recommended level for most women.
Pregnatab contains the right amount of folic acid recommended for mothers before, during and after pregnancy. However, individual health needs may vary, so it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
